Nelson Dichter is an associate engineer at the UC Davis Western Cooling Efficiency Center (WCEC). He is an experienced mechanical engineer, with extensive Energy Plus modeling, data analysis, and programming skills. Nelson began working with the WCEC in 2009 as an undergraduate student, and in 2012 completed his Master’s thesis on a project studying aerosol sealant deposition using numeric simulations. After completing his thesis, he joined WCEC full time as an engineer. Since then, his focus has mainly been on hardware and software development of systems for data acquisition and analysis, integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) in buildings and building simulation in the residential, multi-family, and light commercial sectors.
