Dr. Maya Prica (M ‘10) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Novi Sad in 2000 and 2006, respectively, and Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA in 2010. She is an Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland (CWRU), OH. Her interest is in distribution system planning and protection; integration of advanced technologies and control; decision-making for future electricity systems; and optimization of energy storage operation. She recently spent one year as a visiting scholar at Federal Energy Regulatory Commission working on impact of distributed energy resources on the bulk power system. Dr. Prica was a consultant for Booz Alen Hamilton and supported National Energy Technology Lab in Pittsburgh, Department of Energy Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability and ARPA-E before joining CWRU. She also was software developer for DMS Group, Novi Sad working on analytical functions for distribution system planning and operation.
